As Chief Operations Officer at Wedgewood, Stan Howell leads the company’s operational strategy, driving efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement across its pharmacy network. With a strong background in operations, business excellence, and supply chain management, he is dedicated to enhancing Wedgewood’s commitment to quality, service, and streamlined processes.
Before joining Wedgewood, Stan served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Excellence at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he played a key role in shaping the strategy and execution model for the company’s expanding Cell Therapy business. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Operations at Novartis, where he successfully scaled commercial operations and strengthened supply chain performance.
Stan’s experience also includes leadership roles at Merck, where he served as Plant General Manager, Value Stream Leader for Small Molecule Oncology, and Enterprise Lean Leader. During his tenure, he led the development and deployment of the Merck Production System across a global network of sites, delivering significant cost savings, process improvements, and a culture of empowerment. He began his career at Johnson & Johnson/Merck, gaining hands-on experience in quality and manufacturing across multiple product areas, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Stan holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a focus on Industrial Organizational Psychology from Millersville University and an MBA from Eastern University. He is also a certified Six Sigma and Lean Black Belt, Change Agent, and Organizational Business Designer.
